A number of conditions of the eye may require surgical intervention, from an entropion (an inward turning eyelid) to an eye removal. Any surgery involving the eye is very delicate and some may even require specialist surgical intervention.

The ultimate aim is to preserve the vision in the eye and maintain normal function; this is best achieved with early intervention.
